1. Permitted Content
- ✓Canadian products only — advertisers must be selling products made or distributed in Canada.
- ✓No counterfeit or unauthorized brand goods.
- ✓Product descriptions must be accurate, verifiable, and compliant with Canadian consumer protection laws.
- ✓Images and video must faithfully represent the actual product being sold.
2. Prohibited Content
- ✕Alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis — direct promotion is prohibited on the platform.
- ✕Adult content — no sexually suggestive imagery or language.
- ✕Misleading claims — no unsubstantiated health, performance, or savings claims.
- ✕Non-Canadian sellers — only Canada-verified sellers may purchase ad placements.
- ✕Hate symbols, discriminatory language, or political content.
3. Sponsored Listings Rules
- All sponsored listings must display a clear "Sponsored" label visible to buyers.
- Billing is on a cost-per-click (CPC) basis; rates are available in your seller dashboard.
- Click fraud is strictly prohibited and may result in permanent account termination.
- GotMaple reserves the right to reject or remove any sponsored listing without notice.
4. Banner Ad Guidelines

Banners must not mimic GotMaple's UI, contain flashing text, or use deceptive alert-style effects.
5. CASL Compliance
All email advertising distributed via GotMaple must fully comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). This includes:
- Express or implied consent obtained prior to sending.
- Clear identification of the sender and their mailing address.
- A functional unsubscribe mechanism included in every email.
- Unsubscribe requests honoured within 10 business days.
6. Enforcement
GotMaple reserves the right to enforce these policies at its sole discretion. Violations may result in:
- Immediate removal of the offending ad content.
- Temporary or permanent suspension of the advertising account.
- Cancellation of active campaigns without refund.
- Referral to appropriate authorities for legal violations.
